West Virginia’s 111 points is the most in a tournament game since Kentucky defeated Mt. St. Mary’s 113-67 in 1995.

Wake Forest’s 105 points is the most in a tournament game in a loss since Loyola Marymount defeated Michigan 149-115 in 1990.

West Virginia’s 111-105 victory over Wake Forest marks the 20th straight tournament in which at least one team has scored at least 100 points.

Wake Forest had the best record in overtime games at 3-0 before tonight’s loss.  Duke, New York and Vanderbilt now have the best overtime record at 2-0.

Utah becomes the first Mountain West team to advance to the Sweet Sixteen

Arizona is now 4-0 when playing in Idaho.

This is the 10th consecutive tournament in which a double-digit seed has made the Sweet Sixteen.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee is making their first ever Sweet Sixteen appearance.

There has never been a tournament in which all four #3 seeds advanced to the Sweet Sixteen

Utah is now 7-0 when playing in the state of Arizona.

Pacific is now 0-3 in the Round of 32.

There is at least one team for each seed from 1 to 14 that won first round games.  That is the 4th time that this has happened.  The other times were 1991 (which had at least one from 1 to 15), 1995 and 1998.

Kansas becomes the first ever team to finish #1 in the RPI to lose in the first round.
