Washington finishes the season ranked #8 in the AP Poll.  That is the second lowest ranking ever for a #1 seed.  North Carolina was ranked #9 in 1979 when they received a #1 seed.

Louisville finishes the season ranked #4 in the AP Poll.  That is the highest ranking ever for a #4 seed.  The previous high was Arkansas in 1990 when they were ranked #7 with a #4 seed.

The lowest seeded team ever to finish the season in the AP Top 25 is Charleston.  They were a #12 seed in 1997 while finishing the season ranked #16.

Kansas finishes the season ranked #12 in the AP Poll.  They also finish #1 in the RPI.  That is the lowest ranking ever for the #1 team in the RPI.  The previous low was Cincinnati in 2000 who finished ranked #7 with a #1 RPI.

Note:  AP rankings started in 1949, Seeds started in 1979 and RPI started in 1994.
